On this course, you will learn about the NRCS compulsory standards for shooting ranges, safely control shooters in a firing line during live fire exercises. You will learn proper range commands and safety standards
It is compulsory to be in possession of Tactical unit standards before you can enroll to this unit standard. After completing this Unit Standard, you will be able to handle and supervise Tactical shooting exercises.
There is an open book test in the training manual which needs to be completed before the course takes place. All answers can be found in the training manual. The pass rate is 80%
You will be expected to complete a close book exam based on the same questions that were contained in the open book exam. Pass rate 80%.
BASEC Firearm Training requires that applicants spend 3 times on the shooting range with an instructor to learn proper range commands and take control of the shooters
